Is DFYNE Worth the Price? An Honest Review After 3 Years

If you've ever looked at a pair of DFYNE shorts and thought "are these actually worth $50?" then this post is for you. I've been wearing DFYNE since October 2023, long before it fully blew up on TikTok, and I've tried almost every collection they have ever made. So, let me give you the most honest answer I can.
The short answer is: yes, but not everything.
DFYNE is in that mid-to-premium activewear price range, like Lululemon prices. Shorts run around $45 to $55, leggings are $55 to $70, and sets can push past $100. That's not cheap, so I completely understand the hesitation before you order.
What you're paying for is the fit. DFYNE pieces (especially Impact) are specifically designed to lift, sculpt, and flatter in a way that most other activewear brands don't even come close to. The scrunch seam, the low-rise waistband, and the compression level all works together in a way that genuinely makes a difference to how you look and feel in the gym.
You're also paying for longevity. I still have pieces from my first order back in 2023 that look and feel brand new. That's not something I can say about cheaper activewear brands I've tried over the years.
What's Worth It
The Impact shorts are the piece that put DFYNE on the social media map and they definitely have earned that reputation. The 4.5" and 6.5" shorts are genuinely flattering on almost every body type and the fabric holds up incredibly well over time (if you take care of them properly!). If you only ever buy one thing from DFYNE, make it the Impact shorts.
The Impact leggings are equally worth it if you love a high compression feel during leg days. The Vision flare leggings are another great piece that has an incredibly flattering silhouette and a really unique look compared to anything else currently on the market for activewear.
For loungewear, the Origin flares and the Revive wide leg joggers are some of the softest, most comfortable pieces I own. They're worth every penny if you want some elevated basics that actually last.
The Signature oversized quarter zip is another one I'd buy again without hesitation. It's cozy, well-made, and looks genuinely premium in a way that cheaper alternatives don't.
What's Not
Not everything DFYNE makes is worth the price tag, and just because I'm an athlete for them doesn't mean that I'll sacrifice my honest reviews.
The impact strappy bras and bandeau pieces look great in photos but don't have any grip lining to help them stay in place during an actual workout, so if you have a larger chest, I'd personally skip those and save your money.
The Bomber jacket from the Revive collection is expensive for what it offers and (in my opinion) doesn't provide great wind protection or warmth, which is pretty much the entire point of a bomber jacket. Also, the baby tees from Signature have an awkward cut on the arms that causes them to ride up the shoulders during workouts, if you have any type of capped delt. Lastly, most of the Defy collection, while nice, doesn't offer enough that's different from the other collections to justify spending money there unless you specifically want that lightweight and non-compression feel.
Is the Quality Actually Good?
I've worn DFYNE through hundreds of workouts over three years and the quality is consistently excellent for any of their activewear-specific pieces. There has been no pilling on any of my leggings or shorts, but I have noticed minimal pilling on my Signature joggers.
Overall, the fabric feels premium, the seams hold up, and the colors stay the same wash after wash (as long as you're washing them correctly). I wash everything cold, inside out, and air dry - I know it's annoying but it makes a huge difference.
Kelsey's Final Verdict
DFYNE is worth it, but you have to buy the right things. Don't just buy something because it looks good on someone else. Read the reviews, check the sizing, and invest in the pieces that are actually going to work for your body and your lifestyle.
My personal picks that are worth every penny: Impact shorts, Impact leggings, Vision flare leggings, Origin flares, Origin tank top, Revive wide leg joggers, and the Signature quarter zip.
And obviously, you can use code KELS for 10% off before you checkout. It never expires and there's no minimum spend. It's the easiest way to make DFYNE a little more worth it every single time.
